How to block email’
- Open your gmail via mail.google.com . Go to your inbox or wherever you saw a mail that you don’t like and will like to block. You might prefer to check your spam folder.
- Open the mail you want to block the sender. Below is a picture description:
3. When it opens, look for where the senders address is. By the right, you will see the “more” option. It looks like three dots. Click on it, a drop down will appear.
4. In the drop down, you will see block “sender’s name”. The sender’s name is the name of the person that sent it to you. Click on it and you will block the sender.
That is all! you will stop getting messages from that particular sender. With this, you will keep your gmail spam free.
NOTE: There are lots of mails you get as a result of opting in for something and submitting your email to them. You might have visited someones landing page and submitted your email. You can easily unsubscribe from getting mails from them. However, if they continue sending you unwanted mails, then you can apply the step I explained above.
How to unblock mail on gmail.
In order to unblock mail on gmail, go to settings. This is the gear icon you see in your gmail. Take a look at the picture below:
When the settings page opens,
Go to the Filters and Blocked Addresses category.
In the The following email addresses are blocked… section, select the sender you want to unblock.
